The Mayfair Theatre was opened in 1914 as the 800 seat King Edward Picture Theatre.
Over 100 years on and through many changes (more information can be found on the History page) the Mayfair Theatre is now run by the Mayfair Theatre Charitable Trust and aims to provide an affordable venue for local and touring groups to showcase their talents.

With just over 400 seats the Mayfair Theatre is an excellent size and intimate venue for your next Stage Show, School Recital, Concert or Conference.

Facilities include:
  • Theatre with 400 seat Auditorium (single rake), 80sqm stage, stage lighting and control desk (check out our Technical page for more information)
  • Green Room with 80sqm polished floor space (used as an intermission space during shows or can be hired seperately when theatre is vacant)
  • Meeting Room (hired seperately) with 50sqm carpeted floor space, kitchen facilities
  • Unfortunately the theatre does not have disability access, check out our Redevelopment page to find out how you can help change this
